For thousands of years, the winter solstice has attracted human spirits. This turning point—when shorter, darker days turn toward brighter ones—is an ancient time to reconnect with your higher power and find spiritual light. After this especially dark year, join people of all backgrounds as we celebrate Soulstice on December 21, 2021.
1. Light a Candle
On the evening of December 21, turn off the lights, mute the distractions, find a place where you can be alone for a moment and light a candle. Focus on the stillness of this peaceful moment and begin to turn your thoughts toward your Higher Power.
2. Write a Letter
Grab a pen and paper and write a letter to your Higher Power (God, Allah, the Cosmic Tao, whatever name you use). Write about the darkness of the past year. Write about the light you hope for the future. Ask for God's help in embracing the light.
3. Try Skylight
Skylight is a one-of-a-kind app to help you develop everday spiritual health through daily observation, prayer and meditation. Download the app to make every day a spirtual experience, not just the Soulstice.
